A bit of a mingle and they served a decent pint

THE SCRAP

We packed in for this game and it did not take long before we had a few groans. There was not very much happening on the pitch by both teams that was of any quality and the first half in particular we was under par and scrappy.  Colchester with a relegation battle on their hands were looking for their third straight win but didn't really threaten throughout the game but they did come close early on when a shot took a deflection and whizzed past the post. Jordan Archer went low to save a shot a short while afterwards and we finished the first half with a couple of chances when Chris Taylor shot straight at the keeper and Lee Gregory picked up a headed ball from Steve Morison and with the goal in front of him and with the keeper beaten he hit it over the bar.

Front row action but no away win

I was hoping for a better Millwall second half. Aiden O'Brien who was not having his best game was subbed at half time and Shane Ferguson took his place.
The home side come at us from the off and Jordan Archer was at his best stopping a couple of decent efforts. Colchester is one of those places that has a drummer and we needed to have scored to shut that Wally up but we had to put up with it even though we we went on to dominate the rest of the half. We had chances Lee Gregory on another day would have had a couple and Chris Taylor hit the post but a point was all we earn't and we kept another clean sheet which is always a prize not to be sniffed at.

We drop a place to 6th spot but have a four point gap below us.
